Frequently Asked Questions

Here's where we answer the questions readers keep asking about away days, terrace lingo and matchday habits up and down the leagues. If your question isn't covered yet, it probably will be after the next round of fixtures.

Still have questions?

Send a question through the contact page and we'll usually reply within a few days, once the notebooks from the weekend are sorted.

Who actually writes the articles on The Terrace Times?
Our writers are football people first, mostly based in the cities and towns they cover, from grassroots reporters to former local newspaper football correspondents. Every byline is a real person you can look up, not a house name.
How often do you publish new pieces?
We publish around the real fixture list rather than a fixed daily quota, so you'll see more from us on a heavy Saturday than during a quiet international break.
How is The Terrace Times funded, and does that affect what you write?
We run on reader support and a small amount of display advertising. No club, agent or broadcaster gets a say in what we publish, and any sponsored content is always clearly marked as such.
How do you correct mistakes once an article is live?
If a reader flags something wrong, we check it against the source and correct it within 30 days of being told, with a short note at the bottom of the piece explaining what changed.
